The process of planting the garden was very informative. The children made signs and labeled all of the different vegetables and herbs that they planted. It was great to see the joy in their faces as they dug deep in the soil and got down and dirty with the worms which they learned are great for the soil. They learned the crucial roles of water and the sun working together in harmony to nourish the plants. They learned about oxygen from plants and the positive impact it has on the environment and our health. Lastly and most importantly they learned that, much like themselves the garden needs love to grow and love it they did!!!!
